Description

MHE has an immediate opening for a Structural Designer/Drafter to support our public and private sector projects for our structural department.

This will include technical drafting and design for both new construction and rehabilitation of various types of existing structures including:
buildings (municipal, educational, commercial and residential), bridges, culverts, and public works infrastructure projects.


Responsibilities:


  • Collaborate with Structural Engineers and other disciplines to develop structural designs for various projects and integrate structural elements into overall project plans.
  • Create detailed drawings and specifications using AutoCAD software.
  • Create structural models using Revit software.
  • Ensure that designs comply with building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Conduct site visits to gather information and assess project requirements.
  • Review and analyze project specifications, blueprints, and other technical documents.
  • Perform calculations and simulations to determine load capacities and structural integrity.
  • Prepare reports and presentations to communicate design concepts and recommendations.

Skills**:

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit REQUIRED.**:
  • Strong knowledge of structural engineering principles and practices.
  • Familiarity with building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work with precision.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and clients.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
