Delivery Driver - Bensenville, United States - Fitzsimmons Home Medical
Description
8-hour shift from 12:30 pm - 9:00 pm Monday - Friday with mandatory paid on-call Night Service and weekend rotations available also.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the loading, delivery, setup, and pick up of durable medical equipment, supplemental oxygen products, and supplies to home care patients.
- Performs simple company vehicle maintenance; cleaning interior of vehicle, checking lights, checking tires, filling fluids, scheduling routine maintenance to keep vehicle running properly.
- Interacts with the customer in a professional and courteous manner.
- Collects required signatures utilizing TransportAce for proof of delivery and payment.
- Maintain a neat, clean personal appearance and observes no smoking policy in delivery vehicle.
- Unloads vehicle after completing delivery runs.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
- 2 years of similar experience in delivery driving setting, medical equipment experience preferred, not required.
- Graduate of an accredited high school or equivalent.
- Requires excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Must be able to lift and maneuver 80 lbs.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and medical certificate at all times.
- Successful completion of background check and physical and drug screening.
