The Office of New York State Senator Bill Weber is hiring a Full-Time District Representative in their Nanuet office in Rockland County.

A District Representative handles a broad range of constituent inquiries related to State services as well as problems and challenges in the district.

• Manage intake and resolution of constituent cases and develop and maintain a thorough understanding of issues facing residents of the district.
• Draft letters on behalf of constituents, organizations, or local governments to help solve a problem or seek answers.
• Build strong relationships with other elected and government offices, constituents, community leaders, and advocacy organizations.
• Represent our office and staff the Senator at community meetings or events during or after the workday.

• Bachelor's Degree
• Experience of 12 years interning or working in a local or State government office or experience working for a law firm, journalism, or customer service.
• Excellent oral and written communication.
• Strong working knowledge of the PC, Internet, and other computer systems and technology

• Familiarity with Rockland County and the Hudson Valley
• Bilingual

• Permanent Full-Time Position; Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. 5:00 p.m., with occasional nights and weekends.
