Description

To provide safe & aesthetically pleasing facility for clients & staff by maintaining the hospital building through good repair, by means of a Work Order system, Preventative Maintenance system, & by meeting the needs of the staff.

To make alterations to the hospital building through remodeling and/or new construction to meet the requirements of KidsPeace National Hospital.

JOB DUTIES:

Attend to basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry and painting needs.
Assist with other maintenance tasks and duties as necessary and required.
Communicate with supervisors, coworkers and suppliers through appropriate channels as necessary and required.
Troubleshoot maintenance problems; find and make any necessary repairs.
Assure a safe environment by being safety conscientious, having knowledge of safety standards and using good safety practices.
Assist in snow removal when needed.
Provide on call services through mobile phone when required; respond to afterhours emergencies.

QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Graduate or equivalent required.
Graduate of an accredited trade school or a minimum two years' experience in a maintenance environment.
Basic knowledge of all building trades.
Valid Driver's License required.
Must be at least 18 years of age.

Full Time, Primarily M-F with additional hours & weekends as needed
