    Description
    New Milford (Connecticut) Public Schools anticipates an immediate opening for a full time school nurse (RN) for elementary level. Salary is per School Nurse contract.

    Application Procedure: Candidates must supply 2 current, signed letters of reference, resume and copy of RN license and public health license. All documents must be uploaded to online application.

    Description: Duties and responsibilities include: monitoring school health assessments and immunizations, annual vision and hearing screenings, administration of medication and emergency first aid care, developing Emergency Care Plans and Individualized Health Care Plans, and provide counseling and health education to students and staff.

    Experience using a computerized documentation system is preferred. Have current Professional Rescuer CPR/ AED certificate and current CT registered nurse license.

    Experience needs to include at least the equivalent of one year full-time working experience as RN within five years immediately prior to employment as a school nurse.

    Candidate must have strong communication skills.
