    Description



    About the role:
    • Working in Oracle Cloud

    • Working with GOP (Global Order Promising) to be able to set customer expectations on when product will be delivered based on their predicted production plan.
      • How it works: they predict product demand, then determine supply needed to meet demand, purchase the products needed to make pipe, then this module plugs into all of the planning to produce the delivery date

      • GOP helps break down larger orders to segments so they can easily manage and estimate delivery.

      • Connected to supply chain planning.




    Qualifications:
    • 5-10 years into career

    • Either supported the GOP module or Oracle

    • Doesn't have to be an architect but should have exposure to business architect side.
      • Understand how pieces fit together at a high level.



    • Being able to give insight to customers as to where product is at in transportation



    Biggest challenges in these roles:
    • You own a lot - a lot of orders come through.

    • Some companies have several architecture folks to assist with the hard stuff - they only have one architect within the Oracle space.
