Job Opportunity:
Mechanical Technician I
Are you a skilled and adventurous technician with a knack for machinery and a passion for problem-solving? FORCE is seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as Mechanical Technicians I.
Basic Function:
As a Mechanical Technician I, you will be responsible for building, installing, performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing machinery, conveyors, and related equipment.
Responsibilities:
You may be involved in a combination of the following duties:
- Maintain material handling equipment at client sites.
- Understand client site needs, support parts and services work, and identify system enhancement opportunities.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure prompt issue resolution.
- Travel 100% of the time, frequently between cities by plane or car.
- Enthusiastically pursue skills development through education and training.
- Provide basic customer service and represent the company professionally onsite.
- Pass a background screening and maintain a clean driving record.
Requirements:
- Ability to set up, changeover, troubleshoot, and repair equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance in a safe and efficient manner.
- Read and understand electrical and mechanical schematics and blueprints.
- Complete required documentation and paperwork for equipment and related processes.
- Attend training classes as requested.
Physical Demands:
- Lift, carry, push, pull, sit, stand, walk, bend/squat, reach/handle, climb, work at heights, and handle awkward positions.
- Use equipment such as lift trucks, genie lifts, boom lifts, scissor lifts, and overhead hoists.
License/Certification:
- OSHA 10 (preferred)

- 100% (required)

Requirements:
1.
Technical Expertise:
- Demonstrated knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) with at least 1 year of experience.
- Proficiency in mechanical systems with a minimum of 1 year of handson experience.
2.
Travel Readiness:
- Willingness to travel extensively, with an expectation of 80% or more of travel.
- Ability to navigate between cities frequently, using both planes and cars.
3.
Problem-Solving Skills:
- Capability to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to machinery, conveyors, and equipment.
- Proactive approach to identifying system enhancement opportunities.
4.
Customer Service:
- Basic customer service experience and the ability to represent the company professionally on client sites.
- Strong communication skills to understand and address client site needs.
5.
Safety and Compliance:
- Clean driving record and ability to pass a background screening.
- Adherence to safety guidelines, reporting any unsafe conditions promptly.
6.
Physical Fitness:
- Physical ability to lift, carry, push, pull, bend, squat, climb, and handle awkward positions.
- Comfort working at heights and operating various equipment (lift trucks, genie lifts, etc.).
7.
Technical Documentation:
- Proficient in reading and understanding electrical and mechanical schematics and blueprints.
- Accurate completion of required documentation and paperwork for equipment and processes.
8.
Continuous Learning:
- Enthusiasm for skills development through education and training.
- Attendance at training classes as requested by the company.
9.
Flexibility and Adaptability:
- Ability to work a fulltime schedule with flexibility in shifts, including overtime, oncall, and weekends.
- Selfdetermined schedule with a commitment to meet scheduling requirements.
10.
OSHA Certification:
- Possession of OSHA 10 certification (preferred).
Pay:
$ $32.00 per hour
