As a member of the Community Initiatives Division, you will join an incredibly talented and hardworking Entrepreneur Connection program dedicated to providing resources, education, and connection to capital to entrepreneurs looking to build a successful business and improve their financial well-being to advance BakerRipley's impact in the Houston region.


Reporting to the Small Business Education Manager the Small Business Education Assistant is responsible for executing, coordinating, and planning for all classes, workshops and events while assisting students with their education needs.


Expected Positive Outcomes

  • Provide relevant, timely, and organized classes and workshops throughout the year so entrepreneurs can gain knowledge to start or grow their business.
  • Build relationships with entrepreneurs, instructors, and volunteers to ensure all needs are being met throughout the year.
  • Develop and maintain orientation processes and ensure all technology needs are being met so student retention can increase to 90%.

Essential Functions

  • Works closely with the Education Manager to execute all classes, workshops and events.
  • Coordinates all planning and logistics for all classes, workshops and events.
  • Point of contact for conducting orientation with new students enrolling into all small business classes including enrolling into Salesforce.
  • Support and daytoday relationship building with volunteers related to small business education initiatives.
  • Support and train entrepreneurs who need assistance with technology literacy and access.
  • Assists with administration related tasks such as budget tracking, data entry into salesforce, and tracking volunteer hours.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Experience:
Required

  • 1 year(s): Experience working in customer service related field; prior experience in the relevant client community or in a similar community

Education:
Required

  • High School or better
