We are seeking an experienced
Buyer/Planner for our
First Quality Baby Products facility located in
Macon, GA.

This position will be responsible for controlling raw material working capital investment, finished goods inventory investment, maintaining target unit fill rate, and developing an achievable master schedule that meets sales requirements.

Primary responsibilities include:


  • Work with corporate Logistics Planning.
  • Plan and schedule raw materials to support manufacturing schedules.
  • Notify routings and bill of material changes in SAP.
  • Coordinate raw material and product changes to minimize inventory obsolescence and meet business objectives.
  • Provide planning assistance and training within the organization and other First Quality locations.
  • Maintain Facility Planning Record in SAP and Vendor Quotes for all raw materials.
  • Monitor system integrity on Forecast and Safety Stock.
  • Attend daily production meetings.
  • Schedule inbound trucks and maintain rec. schedule.
  • Prepare for weekly planning meeting.
  • Monthly reporting includes capacity analysis, reports for manufacturing, vendors and special projects as requested. Schedule log changes.
  • Six month raw material forecast to supplier.
  • Maintain Backorder action report daily.
  • BA degree in business science, logistics, or related field.
  • Minimum of five years in a manufacturing / materials environment.
  • Expert knowledge with supply chain management and MRPII preferred.
  • Certifications in CPIM or CIRM suggested.
  • High level of computer literacy (proficiency in Microsoft Excel a must)
  • Effective problem solving, organization and prioritization skills.
