- Coordinating programming within both various mental health and primary care programs in coordination with managers of such programs as well as with discipline supervisors of affected staff assigned to these programs

- Providing a full range of psycho-diagnostic services including the use of psychological testing for patients within VATVCBHCS in areas of
specific interest and within scope of expertise, referring to the PCMHI psychologist for guidance and interpretation as appropriate - Performing psychological evaluations for individual with mental health and medical disorders for purposes of diagnostic clarification and
treatment planning recommendations within scope of expertise, referring to the PCMHI psychologist for guidance and interpretation
as appropriate. These evaluations employ a comprehensive diagnostic interview, review of available records, collateral contract when available, as well as objective, and cognitive tests when indicated. - Consulting with and serving as resource for other professional personnel concerning the needs for, evaluation of, and development of psychological services in VATVCBHCS, within scope of expertise, referring to the PCMHI psychologist for guidance and interpretation as appropriate.
- May be asked to prepare and teach seminars/workshops for VATVCBHCS trainees/staff on topics within interest/competency areas
- May choose to conduct approved psychological research that supports the mission of VATVCBHCS alone in collaboration with other professional in VATVCBHCS or affiliated academic institutions.

Summary
Typically practice in a major program area such as: Polytrauma Rehabilitation Center or Polytrauma Network Site; Spinal Cord Injury Rehabilitation Center or national VHA referral center, such as national Center for Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder or national Transplant Center or other program areas of equivalent scope/complexity. May be assigned administrative responsibility for clinical program development & is accountable for clinical program effectiveness & modification of service patterns.

Relocation Incentive may be authorized for a Highly Qualified Individual: Relocation incentives may be authorized to full-time Federal employees who must change worksites & physically relocate to a different geographic area when the approving official determines that without the incentive, it would be difficult to fill the position with a high-quality candidate.
Pay: Competitive salary and regular salary increases When setting pay, a higher step rate of the appropriate grade may be determined after consideration of existing pay, higher or unique qualifications, or special needs of the VA (Above Minimum Rate of the Grade).
Paid Time Off: 37-50 days of annual paid time offer per year days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year)
Selected applicants may qualify for credit toward annual leave accrual, based on prior [work experience] or military service experience.
Parental Leave: After 12 months of employment, up to 12 weeks of paid parental leave in connection with the birth, adoption, or foster care placement of a child.
Child Care Subsidy: After 60 days of employment, full time employees with a total family income below $144,000 may be eligible for a childcare subsidy up to 25% of total eligible childcare costs for eligible children up to the monthly maximum of $416.66.
Retirement: Traditional federal pension (5 years vesting) and federal 401K with up to 5% in contributions by VA
