    Description

    Field Manager JD – Commercial Flooring

    Location: Reston, VA

    The Field Manager is responsible for delivering quality projects. The Field Manager can read and interpret construction plans and blueprints to relay information to the installation crews they manage. The Field Manager will be assigned Annual Company, Department, and quarterly priorities. Quarterly Bonus based on Project performance (i.e. Gross Profit %)

    Responsibilities:

    • Visit project sites before, during and after installation.
    • Field checks prior to installation to assess scope and condition of job site and identify any potential roadblocks or opportunities to either condense schedule or improve install.
    • Quality control subcontractors and installations
    • Create and send pick tickets, labor invoices and plans to the warehouse in a timely manner.
    • Assist in preparing Change Orders for additional floor prep or other conditions outside of normal scope of the project and installation.
    • Identify the critical path issues and propose remedies that shorten that critical path.
    • Serve as the liaison with the onsite superintendents and internal personnel.
    • Material Management – Ensure material is sent to site appropriately or as needed.
    • Quality of Material – ensure no damage and integrity.
    • Quantity of Material – ensure that an appropriate quantity of material is sent to the job site for duration of installations.
    • Assist to increase the overall gross margin per project (i.e. come in under budget)
    • Installer Management
    • Solidify high quality relationships with current subcontractor base.
    • Prepare bi-weekly labor tickets for payment based on installations.
    • Identification of new potential subcontractors (flooring or tile) to bring on board.

    Qualifications:

    • Preferred: 5-year experience in the commercial flooring/tile commercial sphere supervising, managing projects in the field. Ability to read and interpret blueprints
    • Required: 3-year experience commercial flooring/tile field management or installations.
    • Required: Experience with Microsoft programs.
    • Required: He/she must be a team player, must communicate clearly and often, able to multi-task, and is hyper organized. They are enthusiastic, energetic, detail oriented, and hardworking individuals.
    • Valid driver license – No negative points on driving record and insurable under company insurance carrier Experience driving box truck / vans and able to lift 75lbs.
