    2024 Tri-State Trek Production Assistant Program

    ALS Therapy Development Institute is looking for Tri-State Trek production assistants to help with our annual bike ride fundraiser to end ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease). This is a great opportunity to have a big impact on a large-scale event in the ALS community. We are seeking candidates with experience or interest in event planning, catering, and/or athletic events.

    Responsibilities

    Warehouse and Off-site Duties

    • Organize and maintain equipment and supplies
    • Conduct equipment and supplies inventory checks
    • Clean and properly store equipment after events
    • Assist in placing arrow markers along the route with a team of production assistants
    • Collect donated products and rental vehicles
    • Prepare in the office: putting together rider packets, folding t-shirts, shipping packages, and more

    Day of Event Duties

    • Set up and take down tents, tables, banners, signs, etc.
    • Transport and handle water, ice, food, beverages, and other supplies or equipment
    • Check the route and arrows before participants start
    • Complete any other assigned tasks

    Schedule (Hours may vary - Generally 10am to 4pm, except for longer hours on the 2 working weekends)

    • June 3-6: Organizing warehouse/inventory
    • June 10-15: Warehouse tasks, off-site duties, one working weekend setting up arrow markers (including overnight stay)
    • June 17-18: Collecting rental vehicles & packing vans
    • June 19: Day off for the holiday
    • June 20-25: Event planning, setup, and breakdown – duties may vary (Includes one working weekend – with accommodations & meals)

    Desired Qualifications & Skills

    • Highly collaborative, flexible, positive, and can-do approach
    • Awareness of the required performance levels for successful large events
    • Resourceful problem-solving abilities under pressure
    • Able to lift 35 lbs
    • Capable of standing for long periods
    • Valid driver's license
    • Available for work/travel every day (weekdays and weekends)

    *This is a paid in-person role

    Total compensation ($2,200) will be provided upon completion of the position
