- Establish and maintain budget control over Mechanical & Plumbing scopes during preconstruction phases of the project.
- Manage estimate compilation including analysis of takeoff, subcontractor scoping, general conditions, labor mix, etc
- Coordinate bid efforts, process RFI's, and interface between bidding community and design team members on negotiated projects
- Assist field operations with change order pricing
- Maintain working knowledge of MEP codes and changes to codes
- Assist in the development and training of estimating staff
- Assist the marketing department in preparation of responses to Request for Proposals and Request for Qualifications
- Assist in the trade partner prequalification process
- Develops and maintains internal client relationships
- Lead estimate review and bid process team meetings
- Prepare contractual exhibits for scope of work for subcontractors
- Review labor productivity rates of current and past projects to maintain an understanding of the operation team's capabilities.
- 10+ years of estimating/pre-con experience in Mechanical construction coming out of a mechanical contractor
- Large-scale commercial and/or industrial construction project background required
- BS in Construction Management or Mechanical Engineering preferred
