Position Description:
The back office medical assistant escorts patients into treatment rooms and performs the medical intake assessment. The assistant provides patient care, doctor assistance, assures facility cleanliness, and updates patient charts.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Maintains patient flow into treatment rooms
- Prepares patients to be seen by the doctor
- Takes X-Rays and prepares medical instruments
- Cleans treatment rooms between patients
- Inventories supplies and maintains equipment
- Maintains a high level of patient service
- Updates patient charts
- Maintains patient confidentiality and security according to HIPAA guidelines
- Schedule follow up appointments and collect patient payments
Experience & Skills:
- Medical Assistant certification and podiatry experience strongly preferred
- Xray operations
- Electronic Medical Records
- Excellent communication skills; verbal and written
- Professionalism in interpersonal interactions and personal presentation/appearance
- Bilingual, preferred
Salary:
$ $18.00 per hour
COVID-19 considerations: Must be COVID vaccinated
Pay:
$ $18.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
Work Location:
In person
