    Job Description:
    Assists in the supervision of Reimbursement specialists activities. Prepares monthly journal entries to third party contractual allowance accounts. Functions as liaison between the intermediary, external financial auditors and financial liaison AVP, and the Assistant Director of Finance. Prepares and files Medicare and Medicaid Cost Reports; Campus and the Blue Cross Cost Study.

    • Prepares and files Medicare and Medicaid Cost Reports; Campus and the Blue Cross Cost Study.
    • Functions as liaison between the intermediary, external financial auditors and financial liaison AVP, and the Assistant Director of Finance.
    • Files interim rate requests to maximize current payment rates.
    • Prepares monthly journal entries to third party contractual allowance accounts
    • Coordinates appeals of prior year Medicare/Medicaid cost reports.
    • Facilitates teamwork within the department.
    • Prepares a mini cost report quarterly.
    • Assists in the supervision of Reimbursement specialists activities.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.
    Qualifications


    Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance or a related field and five (5) years of related experience, including experience with Medicare/Medicaid reimbursement and general finance required.

    Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.
