Responsibilities of a Business Office Manager:
- Responsible for overseeing the accounts receivable function in a residential care nursing center that provides long-term care and short-term rehabilitation services.
- Billing Medicare, Medicaid, and Managed Care, ensure billing, reimbursement and collections activities are processed in a timely manner, analyze collections, assess bad debt reserves, review and recommend writeoffs, and ensure a timely close at month end and proper accounting per state and federal regulations. You will also provide oversight of the center's Business Office Coordinator.
Qualifications for a Business Office Manager:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associate degree or above in Business, Accounting, or related field a plus.
- Three (3+) years' experience in third party billing and/or collections in a decentralized billing environment required.
- One (1+) years longterm care business office required, or relatable accounts receivable, accounts payable, medical billing, medical reimbursement, and/or collections experience.
- Medicaid / Managed Care billing experience in the state of practice preferred.
- Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Windows and office products
