- Develop efficient, testable, and reusable code.
- Manage code design reviews.
- Analyze software requirements and feasibility of design.
- Document software system testing procedures and programming.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build scalable solutions.
- Identify, evaluate, and mitigate issues and risks.
- Provide time-scale and cost estimates for project plans.
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications.
- Coach and mentor team members.
- Write comprehensive technical documentation.
Requirements:
Required:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum of 2 years of embedded and IoT systems Software & firmware development.
- Proficiency in C software language.
- Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, JavaScript).
- Familiarity with source control principles.
- Working knowledge of agile development.
- Experience with RESTful web services.
- Familiarity with basic electrical testing equipment.
Preferred:
- Master's Degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years of embedded and IoT systems Software & firmware development.
- Experience with CI/CD systems.
- Web programming skills (HTTP, REST, security).
- Familiarity with mobile app development.
The Software Engineer role will be based mainly in an office setting, with occasional exposure to warehouse or lab environments. Safety equipment may be required in these instances.
