  • Job Summary The CoxHealth Network Reimbursement Analyst team is responsible for various functions related to the CoxHealth network operations and financial reporting and analysis, including, but not limited to managed care, self-funded direct, governmental, workers compensation and other third party payer contract loading, analysis and modeling. The Sr. Reimbursement Analyst serves as a finance team leader and holds additional responsibilities and decision making authority related to facilitation of various ongoing projects, contract modeling work groups and other duties such as creating work assignments, training and orientation planning, back up to director, etc. This position will require in-depth understanding of complex managed care and third party payer reimbursement and payment terms for all provider types, including, tertiary hospitals, critical access hospitals, ancillary providers, physicians and allied health providers. In addition, the Sr. Reimbursement Analyst will be responsible for contract fee schedule analysis, construction of reimbursement scenarios, compiling and maintaining financial data used in third party payer agreements, along with an in-depth understanding and interpretation of financial contract language. .. The person in this position must possess strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and trouble-shoot inefficiencies and issues, research and make recommendations for improvement, facilitate changes, and be able to communicate effectively with stakeholders.
  • Job Requirements Education Required: Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business, Healthcare, or a related field or 8 years related experience Preferred: M.S. degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, MBA, MHA, or related field Experience Required: Demonstrated experience with healthcare or insurance financial analysis Preferred: Experience with third party payer contract modeling and loading Preferred: Experience with contract modeling and loading in EPIC Skills Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to effectively present and interact with all levels of the organization Ability to work collaboratively as either a facilitator or participant on projects that involve multiple stakeholders, while promoting positive and effective working relations Ability to inform and educate others, including training of new staff, on procedures and concepts Ability to write effective summary level documentation for clear and concise communication of data analyzed Ability to create, implement and optimize stakeholder reporting Highly proficient in all aspects of MS Office Highly proficient in Excel with ability to create, modify and trouble-shoot spreadsheets for data analytics. Strong attention to detail Third party payer contract rate and language interpretation Strong analytical skills and ability to analyze complex data sets and all types of provider reimbursement Highly productive in a self-directed manner with ability to coordinate projects, prioritize tasks, track status efficiently, and demonstrate defensible judgement in making independent decisions Effective time management and prioritization skills to permit handling of a large workload across multiple projects and multiple departments Licensure/Certification/Registration
