Join us - become a Pharmaceutical Technical Assistant at Fort Rucker
As a state-certified Pharmaceutical Technical Assistant, you will be in the heart of the healthcare industry.

As an employee in pharmacies or health insurance companies, you will assist patients and customers with health-related questions using your expertise.

You will advise on topics such as the effects of medication and dietetics in a diverse and exciting profession.
A high school diploma (or equivalent) is required, along with a 2-year vocational qualification.
In the PTA training program at Fort Rucker, you will acquire medical, biological, and chemical knowledge. You will examine chemical substances, medicines, and raw materials, and learn how to produce and test medications. Practicing customer conversations is also part of the training.

The two-year training program at the vocational school is followed by a six-month internship at a pharmacy.
You can also work in laboratories in the chemical, pharmaceutical, and cosmetics industries, or at health insurance companies.
The training program is free of charge.
