MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
(A)

Five (5) years of information systems experience in:
Computer programming, Software developer or Software engineer

;

OR
(B) An Associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field,

OR
completion of a two (2) year accredited vocational training program in information technology or related field;

AND
three (3) years of information systems experience in:

Computer programming, Software developer or Software engineer;

OR
(C) A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field

AND
one (1) year of information systems experience in:

Computer programming, Software developer or Software engineer.

Note:

Driver's License Check - This position requires the operation of a state vehicle for the purpose of conducting official State business.

If your license is from outside Oregon, you must submit at least a three-year court/DMV printout.

If you have an Oregon driver's license, a record checkwill be conducted on the top candidate to ensure a valid license and acceptable driving record.

DESIRED SKILLS

Proficient in crafting and refining multi-tiered software applications, demonstrating substantial hands-on experience in their design and development.

Skilled in clear and articulate communication, adept at conveying ideas both verbally and in writing to individuals with varying levels of familiarity with application development and computers.

Familiarity with designing and developing web-based applications and desktop software.

Knowledgeable in C# programming and adept in object-oriented programming techniques.

Familiarity with the SOLID principles as they apply to object-oriented programming.

Familiarity with a variety of Software Development technology stacks, including but not limited to MVC, ASP.NET, .NET, Angular, AngularJS, Blazor, MAUI, Xamarin, Win API, and Azure DevOps.

Mastery in all of these technologies is not expected.

Experience with development in HTML5, JavaScript.

Proficient in utilizing Microsoft Visual Studio IDE for software development.

Experienced in general application system configuration, change management, and troubleshooting procedures.

Skilled in creating technical specification documents and user manuals tailored for non-technical business users.
