Job Summary:


The Center for Integrated Professional Development provides support for ISU faculty "in their pursuit of excellence and innovation in teaching, student learning, and the effective use of technology." We also have a commitment to "contributing to and drawing upon scholarship that benefits teaching, learning and the field of professional development." The Center is currently seeking a strong student with a background in evaluation and assessment of learning to assist with research projects being conducted within the Center.

Duties may include, but will not be limited to, conducting secondary research in the library or online, creating annotated bibliographies, writing literature reviews, conducting primary research via surveys, interviews, focus groups, one so on.


The Center for Integrated Professional Development offers a supportive, educational work environment where graduate assistants make important contributions and are viewed as colleagues and partners in the work of the Center.

Salary Rate / Pay Rate:

$1,125/month


Required Qualifications:


  • Must be an admitted degree seeking graduate student at Illinois State University with experience in evaluation and assessment.
  • GPA of 3.0 or better
  • Strong writing
  • High level of information fluency/library research skills
  • Self-directed; ability to follow through on tasks with mínimal supervision
  • Strong communication and people skills
  • Ability to work well in a collaborative environment

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Familiarity with Zotero, Excel, and
  • Experience working in assessment or evaluation environments
  • Current CITI certification

Work Hours:

Varied, as duties dictate.

You must be eligible for employment in the United States and at Illinois State University and/or for the number of hours required for the position.


Illinois State University student employees are restricted to no more than 28 hours per week of on-campus employment for all positions held.

International students are restricted by their visa status to no more than 20 hours per week of on-campus employment when the university is in session but may work up to 28 hours per week when the university is not in session.
