    Currently, we are undergoing a major $3.7M plant overhaul with updated lighting; new equipment; new lunch room and completely renovated men's and women's locker room spaces. Our specialty Structural Steel I-Beam Racking Systems, where we are an industry leader in design and manufacturing.

    We are looking for an experienced Powder Coat Line Supervisor. The ideal candidate will direct, supervise, mentor, coach and develop our associates in our powder coating process This individual will oversee the powder coating operations on automated finishing lines for powder coated parts and columns. The position will assist and work under the direction of the Operations Manager.

    Key Responsibilities:

    · Supervise and lead a team of powder coating associates, providing training, guidance, and support to ensure high-quality output and team performance.

    · Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for shot blasting and powder coating processes to maximize efficiency and ensure consistency in product quality.

    · Calibrate powder coating equipment to ensure accurate and consistent application of coatings.

    · Adjust settings and parameters to achieve the desired coating thickness, texture and appearance.

    · Monitor equipment performance during operation – shot blasting, coating, and curing processes, adjusting as necessary to meet product quality standards and deadlines.

    · Conduct regular inspections and quality control checks to ensure all products meet the required standards and specifications.

    · Coordinate with Production Supervisor and Operations Manager to schedule jobs and ensure timely completion of all projects.

    · Manage inventory levels of powder coating materials and supplies, ensuring availability and minimizing waste.

    · Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to powder coating equipment and processes.

    · Foster a safe and compliant work environment, adhering to all health, safety, and environmental regulations.

    · Drive continuous improvement initiatives in the powder coating department, leveraging best practices to enhance operations.

    Requirements:

    Required Experience:

    · Five or more years of Powder Coating experience in a leadership role, including experience leading and improving powder coat/ paint processes, procedures, equipment, and employees.

    · Familiarity with health and safety regulations and a commitment to maintaining a safe workplace.

    · Proven supervisory or leadership experience in a manufacturing or production environment.

    · Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.

    · Must be familiar will all paint applications, prepping procedures, safety protocol, and quality

    · Knowledgeable of powder coating systems to include equipment, application of powder, hanging methods, shot blasting, curing ovens, and proper baking of powder

    · Knowledge of quality control standards and practices specific to powder coating.

    · Prior powder coating equipment maintenance experience to include cleaning nozzles, checking/replacing worn or broken components, and as needed assist in troubleshooting malfunctions

    · Ability to problem-solve and make decisions in a fast-paced production environment.

    · Must be proficient with Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Excel, Word

    · Technical training or certification in powder coating preferred or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
