Energy Efficiency Outreach/Inspection Specialist:
Outreach and Business Development professional with demonstrated success in sales of utility energy efficiency programs for high-volume energy savings generation.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES This list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to time.
- Work with the Electric Utility Program Allies to identify and submit projects for the energy efficiency programs, contributing to meet the energy KWh reduction goals.
- Conduct pre and post
- Adhering to the safety requirements of the organization and the utility client
- Promote the energy efficiency program to customers, trade allies and program stakeholders within the assigned territory
- Understand and implement the company's Outreach Process, including but not limited to: o Initiate new business with new customers through businesstobusiness efforts o Manage field time effectively with customer, Trade Ally, and program stakeholder visits o Develop and deliver presentations to create awareness about the program o Respond to customer inquiries and concerns by phone, electronically or in person to move projects towards completion
- Work with utility customers to provide energy efficiency and the business activities of its customers
- Identify and provide documentation of onsite opportunities and written summary reports for energy efficiency to customers and client/Program Manager, provide followup to as required
- Enter data into spreadsheets and database to determine energy savings and to manage current projects which may also include collaborating with Energy Engineers as required
- Maintain professional appearance and behavior appropriate for a representative of our organization and the utility
- Build quick rapport with customers. Quickly initiate conversations with customers on site and virtually regarding energy usage at the facility
- Be able to work in a team atmosphere, and willing to collaborate on continuous improvement of operations year after year
- When required, provide written summary reports directly to the customer, and summary reports to the client/Program Manager
- Assist Program Manager in the training of new team members
- All other duties as assigned POSITION REQUIREMENTS Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent experience. Technical school degree combined with demonstrated experience in electric/gas utility field will be considered. Equivalent work experience may be considered.
- Previous outreach, technology, customer service, sales, or marketing experience Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
- Must be selfmotivated, organized and have ability to prioritize workload
- Work independently in a remote environment
- Must be flexible to handle a wide variety and work at a fast pace
- Ability to adapt to changing environment in the program when required
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Strong data entry skills in entering information in tracking systems/databases
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing with customers, clients and employees
- Ability to analyze and interpret data and solve practical problems
- Knowledge of mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages and ratios

- Be able to live in Northern Virginia/Central Virginia and meet with customers often.
The Energy Efficiency Outreach/Inspection Specialist will receive very good compensation, exposure to the nuances of the Virginia energy industry, training and on-going mentoring to grow into a seasoned energy specialist.
Pay:
$ $26.42 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
