    Description

    Experienced Full Charge Bookkeeper

    We are a full service accounting and tax office located in Bakersfield, California and need a full charge bookkeeper to help us with the growth we are experiencing. Please consider joining our team and apply for this position if you feel that you are qualified.

    Compensation is in the range of $25.00 to $37.50 per hour depending on experience. We need an experienced full charge bookkeeper that is focused and capable of producing a great bookkeeping product. The position is a full time position however we would consider part-time for the right candidate.

    Qualifications:

    • A minimum requirement of 2+ years recent working experience; public accounting experience is a plus.
    • Capable of utilizing clients source documents in order to prepare financial statements.
    • Must be proficient in QuickBooks.
    • Must be proficient in Excel and be able to generate and work with worksheets and formulas.
    • Knowledge of sales tax, 1099s, business license, business property statements and other required government, state and city reports.
    • Must be a detail orientated self-starter.
    • Able to multi-task and be able to work under deadline pressure.

    • 8 hour shift but could include some overtime during busy times of the year.

    Education:

    • High school or equivalent (Preferred)

    Experience:

    • At least 2 years of related bookkeeping experience.
    • Previous payroll experience a huge plus.
    • Prior Quickbooks experience is required.
    • The ideal candidate would have had prior CPA firm experience working with multiple sets of books.
    • General Office experience required.
    • Experience with all Microsoft Office Products.
    • Previous Tax Preparation Experience a plus but NOT required.
