Together Priority Ambulance and CONFIRE were selected to provide emergency and nonemergency ambulance services in portions of San Bernardino County, California._
  • Priority Ambulance will work directly with CONFIRE EMS-MOBILE HEALTH (CONFIRE EMS), a division of CONFIRE. Our mission is to provide a holistic approach to emergency medicine, including emergency medical ground ambulance transportation, 911, interfacility, and critical care transportation._

Definition:


  • The Safety Manager will consistently communicate the company's commitment to safety and injury prevention. They are responsible for driver safety as well as driver training of newhires and current employees, track, and trend AceTech the driver monitoring systems records, assist in monitoring exposures of our staff, and track and trend employee injuries.
**Essential
Duties
and
Responsibilities**:

  • Develop and maintain a safety awareness program to reduce workrelated injuries and vehicle contacts, including driver education, monitoring, and improvement, leading to lower injury and accident rates.
  • Improve new hire driving training processes and handle retraining of current employees.
  • Ensure all employees within the region are fully capable of operating emergency vehicles.
  • Proper lifting and moving techniques.
  • Develop and maintain a Driver Training program, including CEVO certification for employees.
  • Develop and implement training protocols and strategic approaches for safe handling of patients to decrease injury rates of crews and patients.
  • Monitor activities by field personnel to improve safety and training processes.
  • Assist in vehicle contracts.
  • Assist with classroom and field instruction on drivingrelated topics.
  • Assist with implementation and ongoing compliance of company programs mandated by local, state, and federal regulations, including: OSHA Safety Regulations, EPA Regulations, and California Department of Labor Regulations.
  • Schedule review meetings with the Regional President/Director of EMS.
  • Perform unannounced safety inspections and provide documented followups on any deficiencies with operations.
  • Must be willing to travel around San Bernardino County (Rancho Cucamonga, Redlands, High Desert) areas.
  • Perform other duties as required or assigned.
**Minimum
Qualifications**:

  • Knowledge of company Standard Operating Procedures and Policies
  • Obtain and maintain CEVO instructor certification (within 6 months)
  • Minimum 3 years field experience
  • Minimum California EMT Certification
  • Demonstrated ability to utilize basic computer skills, including MS Office.
  • Demonstrated ability to write reports and correspondence.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate at all levels, both orally and in writing

  • Demonstrated ability to supervise, motivate, and train subordinates effectively through a positive attitude and compassion.
  • Demonstrated ability to represent CONFIRE EMS & Mobile Health and other tram members as an EMS professional.
  • The ability to perform job duties at high stress levels requiring employees to function effectively and independently while maintaining good working relationships with partners, patients, and customers.

Salary Range:
$93K - $120K
