    Job Title: Transportation Discipline Lead Engineer

    Locations: Grapevine, Texas

    Client Details: Leading engineering design and consulting firm specializing in four areas of expertise: buildings, transportation, utilities, and business consulting.

    Job description

    • Oversees the transportation engineering department, providing leadership and direction to a team of engineers and support staff.
    • This role involves strategic planning, project management, and ensuring that transportation engineering projects meet quality standards and regulatory requirements.

    • We provide full-service planning, design and construction management services on everything from roadways and bridges to airports, stormwater infrastructure, and parks/recreation projects primarily for state and local agencies and municipalities.

    WHO YOU ARE

    • You have a bachelor's degree in civil/transportation engineering or a related field, and between 10-12 years of experience. You're a licensed professional engineer(PE).
    • You have knowledge of transportation planning, design, and construction management. Having previous leadership and project management experience is a must.
    • You have experience working with Texas agencies including TxDOT.
    • You're a strong communicator with excellent teamwork, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
    • You're proficient with business and engineering applications. Microsoft Office, AutoCAD and/or Microstation are a must. Experience with Civil 3D or Geopak is a plus.
    • You're a people person and collaborate effectively with team members. You're comfortable working independently or with others.

    WHAT YOU'LL DO

    • You'll lead and manage transportation engineering projects from conception to completion. You'll also provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineering staff.
    • You'll assist in developing and implementing departmental strategies aligned with company goals.
    • You'll ensure compliance with local, state, and federal transportation regulations.
    • You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate transportation engineering solutions.
    • You'll manage budgets, schedules, and resources for engineering projects.
    • You'll enjoy what you do. You'll work with great people, continue to learn and grow, and have a good time doing it.
