Allergy Asthma Immunology Care (AAIC) is a well-established private practice, serving the Orlando and Kissimmee communities for the past 36 years.

Now seeking a full-time bilingual (English/Spanish)

Medical Assistant to join our team.

This position requires traveling to our Kissimmee Office on Mondays & Wednesdays and to Orlando Office on Tuesday and Thursdays.

Work schedule is Monday through Thursday 6:
00am and 4:30pm with Fridays off.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Patient intake
• Allergy testing (prick, intradermal and patch)
• Allergy injections
• Attending to patients/pharmacy requests (medication refills, school forms, etc.)
• Managing faxes
• Data entry
• Comply with ethical & legal regulations (HIPAA, OSHA, Bio-Hazard, etc.)
• Comply with applicable regulations and with corporate policies and procedures
• Contribute solutions to intra

- and inter-departmental problems

• Protect clinic assets and property against loss or waste through negligence or dishonesty
• Attend and participate in team trainings & meetings
• Any other duties as assigned

• Strong customer service manners and etiquette
• Ability to establishing and maintaining effective working relationships
• Ability to react calmly, objectively and effectively in emergency situations
• Ability to communicate clearly with patients, staff and others
• Strong organizational skills
• Medical terminology knowledge
• Must be detailoriented
• Excellent grammar skills
• Strong computer/EMR skills
• Bilingual (English/Spanish)

EDUCATION/LICENSE/CERFITICATION

• Medical Assistant diploma preferred

EXPERIENCE

• At least oneyear experience in a medical office as a medical assistant is preferred
• Electronic Health Records experience

REQUIREMENTS

• Immunization and background checks may be required as a qualifying criterion
