Description

Redeemer Lutheran is a welcoming and inclusive ELCA church that also hosts a preschool program and a Day/After School program.

The Communications and Programming Coordinator (CPC) is a dual role, responsible for coordination of internal programming to develop and implement engaging church programs for all ages, with a special emphasis on youth ministry.

The other portion of the role will focus on a technology and communications plan for the church

Primary Duties:_


Youth:

-
Develop and implement engaging and age-appropriate programs: Create curriculum and activities that foster spiritual growth and connect youth to the church's faith.

Oversee the spiritual development of youth group members: Provide guidance and mentorship.

Build relationships with church members including youth group members and their families: Create a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment for youth and families feel connected.

Communicate with church leadership and parents: Keep parents informed about youth group activities and progress, and address any concerns.

Plan, coordinate, and lead engaging youth group events that foster fellowship, service, and spiritual growth.


Programming and Development:

Collaborate with pastor, church leadership, and ministry teams to develop and implement engaging church programs, including youth group, adults, seniors.

Plan and lead a variety of activities and events: Organize events throughout the year that are both fun and promote spiritual growth and social interaction.

Recruit, train, and mentor volunteers: Build a team of volunteers who can assist with programs and activities, fostering a sense of leadership.

Develop program calendars, schedules, and timelines.

Volunteer management:Recruit, train, and schedule volunteers for program support.

Communication:Develop and maintain clear communication channels with program leaders, volunteers, and participants.


Technology and Communications

Develop Content:Written content (website copy, blog posts, press releases), visual content (infographics, videos, graphic design and images)

Analyze data and measure performance: Track and analyze metrics such as website traffic, engagement rates, and conversion rates to identify areas for improvement and optimize community outreach.

Webmaster:Maintain and update church website, ensuring it is informative and engaging for our congregation and visitors.

Qualifications:_

  • Bachelor's degree from accredited college or university
  • Experience working with youth and/or communications experience a plus
  • Strong faith background and enthusiasm for working with youth and building community.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with other staff members as well as the congregation, pastoral staff, and lay staff.
  • Possess good communication skills and the ability to interact with people in a pleasant, responsive, and reassuring manner.
  • Organized, approachable, and flexible.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, website management systems, social media platforms, and presentation design software.
  • Familiarity with live streaming technology a plus.
  • Exhibit reliability and responsibility.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Pay:
$52, $62,000.00 per year
