PART TWO:
FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITY**
Position Objective

Enforces all policies and procedures relating to the ordering and receiving of supplies and equipment by the department. Coordinates with Accounts Payable on issues of invoices.
Performance Expectation
Responsible for timely resolutions of all mismatched purchase orders, invoices and addresses.
Maintain a current working knowledge of all Local agreements, Novation, NEAH and NPC contracts and act as a resource for pricing. Also to act as a resource for all departments in this regard.
Maintains hospital contract file.
Enters accounts payable invoices using the MEDITECH accounts payable interface.
Monitors and assists all other departments in following of established purchasing and requisitioning policies.
First point of contact for vendor check in and or internal customer walk ins.
Maintains patient charge systems for procurement of supplies.
Responsible for maintenance of all Materials Management files such as recalls, rebates, MSDS, etc.
Assist with picking and replenishment of inventories for patient cases.
Responsible for department month end balance reports.
Responsible for reporting and distributing on an excel workbook for Inventory Period End Summary Reports for all departments.
Performs other duties and tasks as assigned by the Materials Management Director.
Responsible for accurate handling, distribution and inventory control of certain pharmaceutical and medical supplies.
