We are currently seeking a candidate for our parent company BZD Ges. f. Transfusionsmedizin Duisburg mbH in Columbia, MD.


This is a full-time (38 hours per week) or part-time (minimum 30 hours per week) position with a start date as soon as possible.


Responsibilities:


  • Serve as the point of contact for all tasks related to Art. 39 GDPR
  • Inform and advise the blood donation center and its employees on data protection and data security
  • Implement appropriate measures for reliable data protection and data security, and provide leadership, coordination, and monitoring
  • Advise on data protection impact assessments and monitor their implementation in accordance with Art. 35 GDPR
  • Support the implementation of the EU GDPR, including reviewing and maintaining a record of processing activities in accordance with EU GDPR requirements
  • Contribute to the development of data protection policies, guidelines, agreements, and contracts
  • Manage contracts for data processing agreements
  • Collaborate with supervisory authorities
  • Report on data protection activities and ensure compliance with data protection regulations and data security

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree or completed vocational training in a relevant field for data protection and data security (e.g. business, legal, or IT focus)
  • Comprehensive knowledge of data protection law and information security
  • Ideally, additional training in data protection
  • Ideally, certification as an information security officer
  • Ideally, professional experience in IT security and/or as a
