The city of Essen is continuously looking for IT professionals and career changers to join the ESH -Essener Systemhaus-.

This position is classified in pay grades 9a to 12 of the TVöD and is available in full-time or part-time, with a permanent contract.

The reference number for this position is 2024-initiativ-ESH-SD and remote work is possible. The Essener Systemhaus is the IT service provider for the City of Essen.

With almost 300 employees, we work daily to provide IT solutions to the business and departmental areas of the city administration, affiliated companies, and external customers.


Join our team and support us in areas such as information security and IT strategy, service desk, technical customer service, application management, data center operations, network management, telephony, security, and client management.

Your future workplace is located in the ETEC-Carré and the adjacent building at Kruppstraße 82-84, 45145 Essen. In addition to free parking spaces, our employees also have access to covered bicycle parking.
