From its headquarters in St. Louis, MO, and multiple branch offices throughout the U.S., Trileaf serves the wireless communications, commercial real estate, financial, and petroleum industries.

    Job Summary:

    Trileaf is seeking a full-time Project Scientist with 3-5 years of field experience conducting environmental due diligence work on telecommunications and commercial real estate projects, including Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (Phase I ESAs) and Phase II ESAs and/or National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) Review Reports. This position is based in our Orlando (Maitland), Florida office.

    Essential Job Functions:

    • Travel to project location, take detailed notes and photographs of site (2-3 days per week)
    • Conducting interviews, in person, via email, and phone
    • Ordering & analyzing government database records
    • Performing regulatory agency file reviews
    • Reviewing historical data (including topographic maps, Sanborn fire insurance maps, city directories, and aerial photographs)
    • Drafting of a standardized report using information from these various sources
    • Perform QA/QC to the satisfaction of both management and clients
    • Completing requested revisions & submitting report within pre-established timelines
    • Conducting field work to collect samples of potentially contaminated subsurface media (soil, groundwater, and soil vapor) and/or indoor air
    • Compare analytical contaminant data collected to applicable regulatory standards
    • Ability to conduct a preliminary screening of listed and/or proposed threatened and endangered species and critical habitat
    • Reviewing publicly available databases such as the National Wetlands Inventory and Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Flood Insurance Rate Maps

    Basic Qualifications:

    • NEPA Assessments

    Preferred Qualifications / Experience:

    • 40-Hour HAZWOPER Certification
    • Licensed Asbestos/Lead-based paint Inspector
    • Mold assessment experience
    • Property Condition Assessments (ASTM E2018)
    • Transaction Screen Assessments (ASTM E1528)
    • Record Search with Risk Assessments (SBA SOP
    • Environmental Professional (EP)
    • Wetland Delineations
    • Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) Assessments

    Education: Bachelor's degree or higher in Biology, Environmental Science, Geology, Geography or related fields
