The EDEKA Handelsgesellschaft Hessenring mbH, located in Melsungen, is currently seeking a Trainee in Supply Chain Management/Logistics (m/f/d) for our Logistics department, starting in July 2023.

This position will prepare you for challenging specialist or leadership roles within the company.

Your responsibilities:


  • You will gain a detailed understanding of our supply chain, including merchandise planning, procurement logistics, warehouse processes in frozen, dry goods, and fresh goods storage, as well as customer delivery through our own fleet
  • You will work with our system landscape, including our warehouse management system (IBM i) and SAP
  • You will be involved in intralogistics projects
  • You will participate in procurement processes for investment goods
  • You will support the Logistics department in process optimization

Your profile:


  • You have completed a Bachelor's degree
  • You possess flexibility, teamwork skills, and the ability to work independently and in a structured manner
  • Strong IT skills (MS Office, SAP, IBM i) are an advantage
  • Excellent communication skills, analytical abilities, and a strong work ethic complete your profile
