- Determine manufacturing steps/processes, equipment requirements, programming requirements, set up operations, material, labor, and other items necessary to perform work.
- Calculate production costs using labor, raw material and processing price estimates.
- Prepare formal price and delivery quotations for management and customers.
- Communicate with customers on proposals, quotations, and projects.
- Assist in the preparation of work instructions for new and revised existing projects.
- May have other duties assigned or required.
- Must be a self-starter and able to work effectively and efficiently with limited supervision.
- Must be a US citizen.
- 5+ years of Machine Shop Estimating/Quoting experience of medium to high complexity parts, including knowledge of setup and operation of a diverse range of machines.
- Experience/knowledge in reading, analyzing, and understanding technical specifications, drawings, bills of material, material, and process specifications, quality documentation, and associated documentation.
- Extensive knowledge of the types of tooling required for specific applications.
- Experience with the planning and manufacturing modules of ERP systems.
- Experience with the machining of different types of materials.
