Job summary
This position performs skilled and semi-skilled tasks in street maintenance including removing replacing repairing or making of street signs operating sand blast equipment applying chemicals paint to remove graffiti paints traffic legends curbs paints other public facilities equipment as assigned installs removes repairs guard rails barricades operates trucks loaders backhoes heavy duty maintenance construction equipment hand power tools inspects tools equipment safety mechanical defects assists with City sponsored functions works outside contractors responds after hours call-outs as assigned performs installation maintenance inspection City signs road markings striping delineators right-of-way cleanup weed control graffiti removal traffic control concrete sidewalk curb gutter ramp installation repair temporary permanent pothole repairs crack sealing patching lays asphalt operates concrete saw prepare cuts repairs encroachments clears roadside properties cutting brush raking hoeing cleans storm drains catch basins assists installation repair sewer storm drain lines demonstrates full understanding applicable policies procedures work methods associated duties may provide training personnel responds questions concerns general public provides customer service information resolves public service complaints establishes positive working relationships community organizations State local agencies associations management staff public.Responsibilities
