Job Summary


The Community Engagement Manager will lead and coordinate Volunteering, Integration, Vocational Training, and Advising services within the Refugee Support Services (RSS) department.

This role entails supervising multiple sub-teams and spearheading community engagement efforts by fostering partnerships with various stakeholders such as refugee services organizations, community groups, educational institutions, and other relevant organizations to support the integration and empowerment of refugees within the community.


Required Qualifications
Minimum qualifications for this position include a B.A.

or foreign equivalent; Two or more years of experience working in refugee services, education, or a related field; At least one year of supervisory experience; bilingual.


Additional Skills Required

Primary duties

  • Provide supervision, training, and support to staff working within the areas of Volunteering, Integration (Civics), Vocational Training, and Advising, ensuring all program targets are met and tasks are completed with adherence to progrm requirements. Ensure all data and documentation is entered, filed, and completed in a timely and accurate fashion.
  • Monitor program data to identify trends and areas for improvement, providing insights to inform strategic decisionmaking and enhance program outcomes and effectiveness.
  • Ensure all VIVA program data is created and maintained in various databases (SharePoint, RSS PowerApps, ClientTrack); regularly review files and ensure accuracy and completion of all student documentation required for each program. Provide ongoing support and feedback to program staff.
  • Ensure that all barriers to student success are addressed and that students are assisted with achieving goals and reaching targets for completion.
  • Conduct proactive outreach in the community to identify and enroll new students in VIVA programs, utilizing various channels such as direct outreach, social media, community events, and local partnerships.
  • Develop and implement community outreach strategies to engage diverse stakeholders, including local organizations, educational institutions, and community groups, in order to meet the needs of RSS programs.
  • Coordinate events and outreach activities to raise awareness of program services and increase community participation.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong partnerships with external stakeholders to enhance program effectiveness and expand service offerings. Serve as a liaison between the organization and community partners, fostering open communication and collaboration.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to identify community needs and tailor program offerings to address them effectively.
  • Develop and implement data collection methods and tools, ensuring accurate and timely reporting on program outcomes and impact; compile regular reports, qualitative and quantitative, on each VIVA program.
  • Represent the organization at community meetings, forums, and events to build relationships and advocate for the needs of the community.
  • Contribute to the overall success of the organization by actively promoting its mission and values through community engagement and partnerships.
  • Assists with other program tasks, as needed.

Salary:
$55k - $65k per year
