    Description
    Full-Time Custodian

    Cross Sound Ferry is seeking reliable individuals to keep our New London Terminal ship-shape This job will be primarily focused on cleaning, receiving, and upkeep of our property. We operate a busy terminal, where our passengers walk or drive aboard our ferries going to Long Island, Block Island, or head out for a Lighthouse Cruise. This role is great for someone who can work well independently and is willing to work both inside and outside. We are looking for full and part time employees.

    Starting rate is $16.50

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
    • Maintain building lobby and common areas including restrooms and warehouse areas
    • Sweep and mop floors and tidy up around property.
    • Empty trash and recycling bins inside buildings and around property
    • Properly handle chemicals and cleaning products
    • Receive packages and sort based on recipient
    • Water plants and care for flower beds
    • Break down cardboard and assist with deliveries
    • Direct customers to paid parking
    • Handle mooring lines for ferry
    • Willing and able to become certified to operate forklift
    • Position may be merged with Yard Attendant position
    • List may not be complete and may encompass duties not listed here
