Job Summary:
Traveling Human Resource Assistant
The Traveling Human Resource Assistant reports to the HR Manager and will perform administrative tasks and services to support effective and efficient operations of the organization's Human Resource department.
The Traveling Human Resource Assistant will report to work in person at our office in Ontario, California, and will also travel same-day and overnight to different sites and accounts on an as needed basis throughout Northern California, Southern California, and Las Vegas, Nevada.

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Sameday and overnight travel within the Northern California, Southern California, and Las Vegas, Nevada regions on an as needed basis.
- Assists the HR Manager with reporting employee call outs to the correct department supervisor and manager.
- Maintains accurate and uptodate human resource files, records, and documentation.
- Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.; refers more complex questions to appropriate seniorlevel HR staff or management.
- Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.
- Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
- Provides clerical support to the HR department.
- Assists with payroll functions including processing timecards, answering employee questions, fixing timecard errors, and distributing checks.
- May act as a liaison between the organization and external benefits providers and vendors, which may include health, disability, and retirement plan providers.
- Conducts or assists with new hire orientation.
- Assists with planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, organizationwide meetings, employee recognition events, holiday parties, and retirement celebrations.
- Assists other company departments with compliance and training requirements.
- Orders office supplies and ships supplies as needed by HR department.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Maintains high level of customer service at laboratory and client locations.
- Must take all assigned Human Resources trainings and classes.
- Responsible for attending all department and staff meetings.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Education and Experience:
- Associate degree in related field, preferred.
- Prior experience in related field, required.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
Pay:
$21.00 per hour
