Summary:
The Maintenance Manager at DSV Road Transport will oversee all maintenance aspects of our trucking fleet, including preventive maintenance, repairs, and fleet optimization. This role necessitates strong leadership, technical expertise in truck maintenance, and a proactive maintenance planning approach.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement maintenance procedures for the safe and efficient operation of the trucking fleet.
- Manage a team of maintenance technicians, providing leadership, guidance, and necessary training.
- Coordinate and prioritize maintenance activities to minimize downtime and maximize fleet availability.
- Conduct regular inspections of trucks and equipment to identify maintenance needs and ensure safety compliance.
- Establish and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers for parts, supplies, and services procurement.
- Develop and oversee maintenance schedules to optimize truck and equipment lifespan and performance.
- Analyze maintenance data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities.
- Implement cost-effective maintenance strategies while upholding high-quality standards.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies related to maintenance, safety, and environmental protection.
- Collaborate with other departments such as operations and logistics to support overall business objectives and customer satisfaction.
- Team player with the ability to work in diverse, cross-functional teams and with all management levels.
- Ability to work efficiently under time and quota pressures.
- Proficiency in leading virtual teams.
- Analytical mindset for supply chain optimization in a changing environment.

Educational Background / Work Experience / Qualifications:
- 5+ years of proven truck maintenance experience, with a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of diesel equipment, electrical systems, hydraulics, and other trucking equipment.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills to motivate and develop teams.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Familiarity with maintenance software systems for scheduling, inventory management, and reporting.
- Understanding of safety regulations, FMCSA, and DOT guidelines.
Language Skills:
- Business fluent in English
- Preferably proficient in the local language
Computer Literacy:
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and others)
Physical and Mental Requirements / Working Conditions:
- The employee in this role often stands, walks, and utilizes hand-eye coordination. Specific vision abilities such as close vision and depth perception are necessary.
- Normal working hours are Monday to Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, with occasional extended hours based on business needs.
- The expected base pay for this position ranges from $77,500 to $116,500 annually, determined by factors including knowledge, location, skills, experience, and business considerations.
