About Us:


A well-established company owning automotive dealerships and real estate in Los Angeles is excited to welcome an experienced Automotive Business Manager/Controller to our team.

This role will oversee both the newly opened Acura of Los Angeles Westside and Honda of North Hollywood.


Position Overview:

As our Automotive Business Manager/Controller, you will be pivotal in overseeing the financial health of both dealerships. Your expertise will ensure accuracy, compliance, and strategic financial planning.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Prepare and submit accurate monthly dealership financial statements in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and timelines.
  • Monitor financial statements and accounts, informing senior management of trends or issues.
  • Review operations and accounts, suggesting improvements and cost reduction strategies.
  • Provide timely and accurate financial and management reports to department managers.
  • Ensure dealership compliance with government regulations and submit necessary reports.
  • Stay current with laws and regulations including employment laws, OSHA, and tax compliance.
  • Enforce company policies and propose new policies to enhance operations.
  • Review and negotiate vendor contracts on behalf of the dealerships.
  • Supervise reconciliation of general ledger, bank, reserve, factory payable, and floor plan accounts.
  • Manage dealership cash reserves effectively.
  • Supervise business office personnel, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, DMV registration, payroll, IT, and human resources.
  • Coordinate with external accounting and legal professionals.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications:


  • 5 to 10 years of automotive businessrelated experience.
  • Experience managing multiple rooftops.
  • Proficiency with Dealertrack DMS and myKaarma.
  • Fulltime availability and at least 18 years old.
  • Creative, positive, team player attitude.
  • Ability to make informed business decisions.
  • Honesty, empathy, and excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Selfmotivated, goaloriented, and enthusiastic.
  • Strong organizational and negotiation skills.
  • Professional appearance and strong work ethic.
  • Ability to follow instructions in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Pass a preemployment background check and drug screen.

Physical Demands:


  • Ability to sit/stand interchangeably throughout the day.
  • Use hands, fingers, and arms continually.
  • Bend, crouch, crawl, stoop, and kneel frequently.
  • Lift and carry items exceeding 50 pounds.
