    Description
    Linux Systems Engineer

    One of the world's leading Fin-Tech firms has an exciting opportunity open for a Senior Linux Engineer.

    You are joining a team of highly skilled and experienced technologists tasked with maintaining and enhancing their large scale, globally deployed Linux-based platform.


    This role comes with a huge amount of responsibility and requires someone motivated and driven to deliver the best results possible.


    Your role:


    Take ownership of components on a global level, working with operational counterparts and customers to prioritize and execute on enhancements, extensions, and remediation in these critical components of our infrastructure.

    Use declarative configuration-as-code principles and extensive automation across a mixture of strategic engineering and design projects.

    Responsible for designing, maintaining, and improving Servers, Blades, Virtualization, and High-performance Storage.


    What you need:
    knowledge of Linux, including familiarity with UNIX system calls, and low-level O/S and network protocols.

    Experience of using any modern config management system to automate the management of a large-scale Linux deployment.

    Experience scripting Python.

    Experience in Cloud technologies AWS.
