Description
The salary range for this position is hourly and is dependent on experience level ranging from $25/hr to $31/hr.
Use full range on administrative and technical knowledge and experience to assist and support management in meeting the objectives and responsibilities of the Division and to assist the team to achieve and exceed established goals.
MAJOR ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Scope of work - range of responsibilities):
- This position will be responsible to work with Purchasing and Accounts Payable to create Purchase Requests, Purchase Orders, and review and process Invoices in the company computer system (SAP).
- This position will also act as the Delegated Buyer working with Purchasing on smaller contracts. In this capacity you will coordinate with vendors to obtain bids for equipment, material, and/or services, evaluate bids with management to select a bidder then work with Purchasing to create the PR and PO.
- This position may collect, review, and enter timesheet information for Divisional employees into the company computer system. Also run reports from the payroll system for management.
- This position will also assume the responsibilities of working with the company meter reading system (Itron) to collect meter reads for the Greenwich Division. This will consist of obtaining daily meter reading information from computer systems. The use of the automated meter reading hardware and software, and the collection of meter reads via the meter reading vehicle and the Mobile Collector system.
- This position will also assume the responsibilities of the paving and landscape restoration program for the Greenwich Division. You will coordinate with the Town of Greenwich and contractors to issue work and track work completed by contractors. You will be required to complete reports summarizing the status of the paving and landscape restoration program.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Associates degree in business, IT or related discipline required.
- New graduates welcome. Up to 3 years of businessrelated experience a plus.
- Must be able to adapt to evolving work environments where duties can vary due to changes in business processes.
- Must possess strong computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and Power Point.
- Must have a general understanding of financial processes such as Accounts Payable, Payroll, and Purchasing.
- Must have strong organizational skills, be selfmotivated, and results oriented.
- Must have the ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks.
- Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
