    Requirement SummaryOur Ocean Systems Group is seeking a signal processing engineer to be part of a multi-disciplinary team working on projects that span a wide range of research areas.

    The engineer will lead undersea acoustics projects for military and commercial applications.

    Innovation and problem solving will be a major part of your position along with the ability to work productively with a diverse team of researchers.

    ResponsibilitiesSelf-starter with the ability to recognize and creatively solve complex problemsPerforming experiments in an independent & inventive mannerServe both as an individual contributor and lead a project teamTake ownership of project success and maintain customer relationshipsIdentify and manage project schedules and risksSupport business development through proposal writing and the pursuit of strategic partnershipsDocument project progressDesired QualificationsExperience with some of the following:Processing underwater acoustic array dataAcoustic data compression techniquesAcoustic Blind Source Separation (BSS) techniquesPhased-array processing and array design and performance analysisAcoustic testing, data acquisition, and data analysisEmbedded DSP system designAnti-submarine Warfare (ASW) applications of acoustic signal processingMarine mammal monitoring and offshore wind applications of acoustic signal processing.

    The ideal candidate will have broad interest in these areas and the desire to lead a team to develop and field a product in a chosen area.

    Excellent presentation and writing skills are a plus to accomplish this goal. Education/ExperienceMS degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or closely related field. PhD degree is a plus (but not a requirement)5+ years of experience with listed qualifications.
