    Position Summary:

    The Plant Manager role in Union, MO involves overseeing daily manufacturing operations to drive business results and operational enhancements. Providing leadership in various areas such as production, processing, packaging, quality, and safety, the role focuses on enhancing productivity, service, and safety measures.

    This leadership position demands advanced skills in critical thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving. The Plant Manager leads through empowerment, teamwork, and continuous improvement projects, emphasizing safety programs and strategic planning.

    Key responsibilities include managing production operations, ensuring safety compliance, implementing productivity strategies, and promoting food safety guidelines and standards within the organization. Collaborating with departments to maintain quality standards and support capital investments are crucial parts of this role.

    Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

    • Supervise daily production operations to meet company expectations in Cost, Quality, Safety, and Customer Service.
    • Ensure safety program compliance, conduct safety inspections, and investigate/report accidents.
    • Develop productivity strategies, implement continuous improvements, and lead problem-solving initiatives.
    • Enforce sanitation standards, quality training, and food safety principles.
    • Provide leadership to supervisory personnel, develop team leads, and ensure SOP adherence.
    • Collaborate with Maintenance and Engineering for capital projects and maintenance activities.

    Qualifications required:

    • Team player with strong leadership skills and the ability to work across multiple functions.
    • Minimum of five (5) years of related experience, preferably with an associate or bachelor's degree.
    • Excellent time management, communication, and organizational skills.
    • Community ambassador fostering relationships with local officials and business leaders.
