MAJOR JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES:


Management of Region
Oversees progress towards established MRM team goals. Participates in commercial division initiatives and interfaces with Commercial Market Leaders to coordinate efforts of MRM team. Provides input to senior management on a variety of issues affecting the Group and/or Bank.


Relationship / Sales Management
Establishes annual goals and performance objectives for each Team Member and conducts monthly coaching sessions. Achieves sales objectives, portfolio growth and achieves asset quality goals as established by the Group Leader. Helps generate new business and coaches Team Members by conducting joint calls on existing and prospective clients. Partners with other Business Lines to generate cross-sell opportunities. Ensures that the Bank is well represented in the business community through involvement in service and community organizations.


Teach / Coach Team on Core Banking and Credit Skills
Provides guidance to Team Members in the areas of loan structuring, underwriting and pricing. Consistently provides opportunities for learning and development, and incorporates learning and development into each MRM's annual plan.


Portfolio Management and Credit Underwriting
Ensures acceptable credit quality in the region's portfolio by complying with the Bank's credit policy. Assists Team Members in identifying problem assets and developing an action plan for each. Provides sales and credit underwriting guidance to Team Members as they work with more complex credits and relationships. Manages both delinquencies and loan exceptions within desired limits.


Supervision
Complies with all aspects of performance management. Documents performance and completes regular appraisals. Responsible for hiring and staffing the Team as needed. Addresses personnel issues promptly and consistently.


Required Skills:


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:


Position requires extensive knowledge of credit, financial analysis techniques & lending policy, with ability to package and present credit deals to leadership & credit team.

Well demonstrated understanding of loan risk factors a plus.


Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills are required to complete sales presentations, write complex proposals, present pending loan packages, provide coaching and guidance to employees, and maintain positive rapport with internal and external contacts.

Work requires decisions made within a framework of broad practices and procedures/policies.

This position is given the degree of independence needed to achieve strategic objectives, provided that the activities are consistent with approved operating plans and objectives.


SPECIFIC PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Work requires reasonable mobility in and around the work area. Ability to use standard computer and phone systems is required


WORKING CONDITIONS:

Normal office environment where there is almost no discomfort due to temperature, dust, noise, or other disagreeable elements.

Work includes little or no potential exposure to hazardous conditions.

Must be able to travel to remote company and/or client locations.
