Responsibilities:


What you'll be challenged to do:

Primary Responsibilities (others may be included):

  • Assists others in programming, schematic design, building cost analysis, construction documents, specifications and materials, code research, construction administration and project management.
  • Performs elementary design computations, makes quantity takeoffs and prepares estimates, prepares architectural plans and renderings, and inspects architectural features of structures in the field.
  • Encouraged to try to solve problems using judgment, and education, but is expected to ask for assistance when needed.
  • May be asked to participate in nondesign architectural activities such as construction observation, surveying, CADD production, and field data collection.
  • Supervisor screens assignments for unusual or difficult problems and selects techniques and procedures to be applied on nonrouting work.
  • Research design options and document findings for Senior Project Architect.
  • Uses computer to solve design problems and improve the project team's design process.
  • Maintains project database by writing computer programs, entering and backing up data.
  • Maintains product and company reputation by complying with federal and state regulations.
  • Keeps Senior Project Manager informed of workload and any changes in project schedule or scope or additional services.
  • Maintain neat and organized work area that allows efficient access to project information as required by other team members.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
  • Assist or participate in preparation of business proposals.

  • Bachelor degree in Architecture from fouryear accredited college or university; 04 years related experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Seeks opportunities to develop the ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • General ability to solve practical problems which may occur and/or know when to seek direction from supervisor. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, verbal, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint; AutoCAD.
  • Actively engages multiple perspectives when solving problems, seeks to learn from peers, and encourages reciprocal learning among team members.
