Our client, a leading aviation innovation company located in Georgetown, DE, is seeking an experienced Avionics Technician to join their dynamic team.
With a rich history of aviation excellence, our client's facility boasts state-of-the-art hangars, manufacturing space, and dedicated training facilities.As an Avionics Technician, you will be responsible for completing all avionics-related tasks with mínimal supervision. Your duties will include installation, maintenance, testing, inspection, and troubleshooting of aircraft systems. You will utilize your strong knowledge of electrical/electronic systems to ensure the safe and efficient operation of aircraft.
Responsibilities:
- Accomplish aircraftrelated activities including installation, maintenance, testing, and troubleshooting
- Perform operational checks and ensure conformity of interior installations and modifications
- Follow engineering drawings, manufacturer's specifications, and company process standards
- Read and interpret wiring schematics, service bulletins, and airworthiness directives
- Use various testing devices, meters, and tools to inspect, test, adjust, and repair wiring and components
- Document all aircraftrelated actions in accordance with regulatory guidance and company standards
- Coordinate with other departments to meet production goals and customer requirements
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment
Qualifications:
- High school education or equivalent
- 5+ years of airplane avionics experience
- Strong knowledge of electrical/electronic systems and troubleshooting
- Proficient in the use of precision measuring tools and basic tools
- Effective computer skills, including Microsoft Office and disciplinespecific software
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Analytical and problemsolving abilities
- Detailoriented with the ability to multitask and prioritize work
- Willingness to work extended hours or second shift when needed
