Job Overview:

We are seeking skilled Extrusion Operators to join our team.

The plastic profile extrusion operator is responsible for the setup, operation, and maintenance of plastic extrusion machines to produce high-quality plastic profiles.

The operator will ensure that the extrusion process runs smoothly, monitor production output, perform quality checks, and troubleshoot any issues that may arise during the production process.


Responsibilities:


  • Set up and prepare plastic extrusion machines according to production requirements, including selecting the appropriate dies, molds, and other equipment.
  • Operate extrusion machinery, including starting up and shutting down machines, adjusting settings, and monitoring the production process to ensure efficient and accurate output.
  • Monitor and control the extrusion process parameters, such as temperature, pressure, speed, and material flow, to achieve the desired product specifications.
  • Conduct regular quality checks on the extruded profiles, visually inspecting for defects, measuring dimensions, and performing tests to ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Make adjustments to the extrusion process as necessary to maintain product quality and troubleshoot any issues that may arise, such as material inconsistencies, equipment malfunctions, or blockages.
  • Perform routine machine maintenance, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn parts, to ensure optimal performance and prevent breakdowns.
  • Maintain production records, including documenting production quantities, material usage, equipment settings, and any quality issues or machine malfunctions.
  • Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment, including proper handling of materials, wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), and identifying and reporting any safety hazards.
  • Collaborate with other team members, such as supervisors, quality control personnel, and maintenance technicians, to optimize production processes, troubleshoot problems, and implement process improvements.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, advancements in plastic extrusion technology, and best practices to enhance skills and knowledge in the field.

Skills:


  • Experience in plastics injection molding, plastics extrusion, or related field
  • Mechanical knowledge for machine setup and troubleshooting
  • Proficiency in quality inspection techniques
  • Familiarity with machining processes is a plus
  • Basic math skills for measurements and calculations
  • Knowledge of plastics blow molding is advantageous
  • Ability to use hand tools and precision measuring instruments
  • Experience in a warehouse setting is beneficial

Requirements:


  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in plastics processing or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience as a plastic profile extrusion operator or similar role, with a strong understanding of the extrusion process and equipment.
  • Familiarity with different types of plastics, resins, and additives used in extrusion processes.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and product requirements.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve equipment issues.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and protocols in a manufacturing environment.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to producing highquality products.
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced environment and meet production targets.
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods, lift heavy materials, and perform repetitive tasks.
