Compensation and Benefits:

Work Schedule:
Monday - Friday; 6:30 am - 3:00 pm
The Water Resources Plant Mechanic is responsible for the installation, repair and maintenance of pumps, motors, fans, chemical feed equipment, compressors, valves, piping, bulk chemical tanks, building infrastructure, generators, diesel engines, and gates. This includes making recommendations related to equipment repair or replacement and maintaining compliance with OSHA standard practices and procedures. Additionally, the employee troubleshoots problems on equipment and schedules preventative maintenance. All work is logged to include problems found; action taken to repair; preventive measures for future reference; and work hours involved. Other responsibilities include providing a lead role for mechanics in training, maintenance helpers, and laborers. Lastly, the employee will assist with the hauling of ashes and screening as required for disposal via driving a tandem dump truck. There will be a rotating "on-call" schedule, for after hour & weekends. . The job is NON-EXEMPT under FLSA.
