JOB SUMMARY:

The Host/Cashier is responsible for providing excellent guest service by accurately and efficiently processing guest's food and beverage purchases.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Greets guests and efficiently processes food and beverage orders and purchases through the Point of Sale (POS) System.
  • Responsible for cleaning and sanitizing their areas to create a safe and sanitary environment for internal and external guests.
  • Maintains the accountability and security of their individual cash drawer.
  • Stocks and cleans workstation/venue to ensure presentable products.
  • Ensures and collects appropriate guest payment for food and beverage service.
  • Maintains a professional and tidy appearance at all times.
  • Communicates in a positive, respectful manner to both internal and external guests.
  • Builds and maintains knowledge of food and beverage offerings to ensure all questions answered appropriate and accurately.
  • Must maintain excellent attendance and be available to work events and varied schedules per business need.
  • Abide by all Arizona State Liquor Laws Title 4, and Colorado River Indian Tribes Alcohol Beverage Ordinance.
  • Abide by Guest Service Agreement for BlueWater Resort & Casino.
  • Abide by F & B department policies and procedures.
  • Performs all functions in accordance with Tribal, Federal, State Health & Safety Regulations, Gaming Regulations, and BlueWater Resort & Casino policies and procedures.
  • All other duties as assigned (job description permitting), or as approved by the Tribal Gaming Agency.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Ability to work in a teamoriented, fastpaced, eventdriven environment.
  • Ability to communicate with team members, management staff and guest in a clear, businesslike and respectful manner which focuses on generating a positive enthusiastic and cooperative work environment.
  • Must acquire and maintain a valid C.R.I.T Environmental Health Food Handlers Card, Alcohol Awareness Certification, Suspicious Activity, Cash Handling, and other required compliance trainings.
  • Ability to handle cash accurately and responsibly.
  • Ability to calculate basic math functions (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages) as they relate to POS cash/credit transactions, cash reconciliation and product inventory.
  • Ability to clearly communicate, read and write in English.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:


  • Experience working in a fastpaced, high volume fine dining, casual, and/or nightclub is preferred.
- wine and alcohol knowledge preferred

  • Must have a High School Diploma, G.E.D. or related Food Service Job Experience.
  • All employees must obtain a valid gaming license from the CRIT Tribal Gaming Agency prior to beginning work and are required to have license renewed annually.
  • Must be able to adhere to all BlueWater Resort & Casino and CDC guidelines in regards to the wearing of PPE (including but not limited to a mask and gloves).
  • Must attend inhouse comprehensive cleaning and disinfecting training on COVID19 and other infectious diseases.

Uniforms
Uniforms will be specific to each outlet. All hair must be completely contained within the approved health standards.

All hairstyles, body art and piercings must adhere to company policy to meet the needs of the health code and professional standards.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Indoor environment. This position regularly works indoors but may work outdoors in cold and/or extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is generally quiet to moderate and may become excessively noisy at times. Will have contact with employees, external agencies and the public. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne practices, including second-hand environmental smoke.
